Grilled Hot Dogs (High-Protein)
Grilled pork hot dogs charred over medium-high heat and served open-faced over a bed of warm black beans, topped with cheddar, tomato, onion and mustard on a whole wheat bun. The beans push protein and fibre high. Finished with a squeeze of fresh lime and cilantro.

On a board, dice the onion, chop the tomato and cilantro, and grate the cheddar so everything is ready to build.

Grill
Set a grill or grill pan to medium-high and cook the pork hot dogs 6 to 8 minutes, turning often, until the skins are charred and split.

Toast the split whole wheat hot dog bun cut-side down over medium-high heat about 1 minute, until the surface turns golden and lightly crisp.

Spread warm black beans across bun and plate, lay dogs on top, scatter cheddar, onion, tomato, cilantro and mustard, and serve with lime wedges.
