Instructions

Prep
Mix ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, onion, nutmeg, and ground ginger together. Shape into eight balls. Cut potato into chunks.

Boil
Boil potato chunks in salted water over high heat for 15 minutes until fork-tender. Drain thoroughly.

Sear
Brown meatballs in butter over medium heat for 6 minutes until golden-brown all over and cooked through.

Simmer
Sprinkle flour over the meatballs, stir, and add beef stock. Simmer over low heat for 5 minutes until gravy thickens glossy and deep brown.

Finish
Mash drained potatoes with butter and milk over low heat for 2 minutes until smooth, creamy, and warmed through.

Plate
Spoon creamy mash onto a warm plate, pile meatballs over, pour gravy across, scatter peas and parsley on top.
